360° in Tokyo Station’s underground Ramen Street (東京駅のラーメンストリート)

東京駅 (Tokyo Station) is one of the (if not the) biggest and busiest train stations in Japan, possibly the world. A myriad of train and subway lines converge here, along with the 新幹線 (Shinkansen, Bullet Train). Still, the station itself is much more than just a commuting hub. It’s filled to the brim with shops that are underground, above ground, and around the station itself.

In this video, we walk through the 地下街 (underground shopping district), in particular the ラーメンストリート (Ramen Street). It’s a part of the shopping district that is filled with shops from the best and most well-known ramen restaurants in Japan. Whether you like pork, fish, beef, or chicken as your ramen soup base, you’ll be sure to find something that suits your taste pallet here. If you’re up to the task, why not try all of them?

Just be aware that some of the shops are extremely popular and you may need to wait in line to get in. Our advice is to go on a weekday and avoid the office-lunch-time crowd by going before 11:30 AM or after 2:00PM).
